The Annex (1 Minerva Street East, Huntsville)

Terri Howell and Mary Spring, both retired elementary school teachers, will be hosting a workshop for Quilting Landscape Designers. No sewing experience is required. The workshop runs for a full day and participants take home a completed project. Terri and Mary will provide the sewing machines, thread, fabric, ironing materials, tea, coffee, snacks and instruction.

Basically, Terri and Mary come to a central location, teach the participants basic use of a sewing machine, look at some art pieces for the design process and then discuss the elements of design (line, form, texture, colour, shape etc) and encourage the participants to put their creative skills to work on a Canadian landscape made from fabric. What a great way to celebrate Canada’s 150th!

This is a relaxing, stress free experience….and lots of fun!

The cost for the day is $50.00.

To sign up please contact Mary Spring at forestbella12@gmail.com or sign up in person at the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce (37 Main Street East, Huntsville) – 705-789-4771.
